As a child growing up in Alaska, I enjoyed participating in all outdoor activities. I played soccer and was a ballet dancer. As I got older and started a family, my health and fitness really fell to the back burner. I tried to stay active by going to a regular gym, but I couldn’t maintain the motivation. Then I found CrossFit (thanks to my sister for dragging me to a class!) Since that day, I have not looked back! I fell in love with the constantly varied workouts, the functionality of the movements offered that apply to everyday life and surprisingly…the weightlifting! As a wife and mother of three boys, I make sure to carve out some time in my busy schedule for my health and wellness now. The CrossFit community is like none other. It has helped me achieve some hefty goals I set for myself. I was able to complete my first half marathon and then complete my first full marathon. CrossFit has brought many changes to my health and wellness, particularly in appearance, endurance & general feelings of growth and success. In 2021 I decided it was my time to help others achieve those same feelings. I want to help people make changes for themselves to live happier and healthier lives. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself.
