Tell us a little about yourself.


I’m from Verona, Virginia and I live in Staunton with my wife and my son, Theo. My son and my wife are my whole world and they make me want to be the best version of myself. I enjoy watching movies, TV shows, listening to all kinds of music, and spending time with my family. I coach basketball and softball at Wilson Memorial High School which I love. I have been participating in CrossFit for almost 5 years and I enjoy lifting heavy!


What are your goals for CrossFit? Why do you do CrossFit?


My current goals for CrossFit is to get better each day with whatever movement we are focusing on that day. I love to lift heavy but my goal is to work on the movements that I struggle with like double unders, toes to bar, and box jumps. I do CrossFit because I enjoy the atmosphere in the gym, the friendly competition, and the workouts. CrossFit is my hour of the day to release any stress and focus on my health.


What are your favorite movements to do in a workout? What are your least favorite?


FAVS: Power Cleans! I have improved my form after years of working on them.

NOT FAVS: Snatches!  Mainly because I struggle catching the bar.


What do you think is special about CrossFit Anazao?


The coaches and the people. Everyone at Anazao, from the coaches to the athletes, are always rooting for everyone to do their best and everyone makes me laugh which is what I enjoy the most!


Anything else you wish to add?


I really just want to thank everyone for being so welcome and supportive at the gym. Everyone is so kind, helpful, and fun to be around!


A note from one of our coaches:


The first word I think of when I think of Lindsey is FUN! Even though it’s early (usually 5:30AM) when she comes to class, she brings a fun vibe and energy. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t also work hard. When it’s time to, she gets down to business and gets work done with added dance breaks of course! Despite having the occasional injury, she is able to modify and still get a great workout in. She has worked hard to improve her form and get better every day. It is always a pleasure to coach her and see her progress on her fitness journey. She inspires many other members to get after it each day!
